mannequin series final

For this I took pictures and made them as creepy as possible for the first two pictures and slightly less creepy for the other photos. I increased the exposure and also used retouch to blot out the face to create an inanimate object looking person. These photos have almost a horror film feel to them. The lighting and the background add to the horror feel to them, and I tried to take pictures with shapes in the background to add to the complexity of the photos.

  1. This series is very creative, by covering up parts of the face of your subjects. Maybe find a way to make them pop a little more and connect them to each other to create a flow, but otherwise you did a good job !

  2. I really like your third photo. Its really creative and the pose is really interesting. Be careful not to make it to blurry. Good work!

  3. Your photos seem to have taken a more comical approach as opposed to serious. Especially the ones with the demon face and Carlos's model hand on the hip pose. I think your most successful photo is the 5th photo because the angle really gives a menacing look to it. To make the photo more realistic and look like a real person instead of a manikin you might want to try, blocking out parts of the face.

  4. images 3 & 5 are the strongest. not only is your character posing like a statue, the minimal backgrounds w/ dynamic shape/line present the subject in a dramatic way. other images come close, but the backgrounds don't blend as well, or the highlights are too bright overall. try another batch along the same approach.

  5. I really liked the first picture especially with the door next to Carlos. They're funny and creepy at the same time but it was really nice. Good job

  7. awesome pictures!

great start with the creepyness. But I agree with Aaron, they are not creepy enough. With the addition of the small eye-holes that you were editing in class, these will be really, really creepy :)
