Photo Collages

For this project, i tried to create interesting multi-frame photo collages, both diptych and triptych. I tried to create one photo, but comprised of multiple photos. As for subjects i tried to imitate real world realities as well as abstract, and of both inanimate objects and living ones. I used picnik to structure the my multi-frame photos and in some cases (like in the first photo) slightly alter the structure of the collage and its proportions to make them flow better visually. I attempted to create imitations of reality and use images of regular things in ways that changed how they were perceived.

  1. The one with Owen's eyes is really comical. My favorite is the second photo all of the three separate pieces putting photos that have long poles makes the entire thing look even longer. Also having the tree as the first really works because its like the street column and street pole act as a trunk. The last photo might have been stronger if you played with the exposure more. I also really like the garbage one too, the construction building is being eaten by the garbage can so effortlessly!

  2. Reid you did a really good job combining the photos. My favorites are the first and third photographs. I like that you really got creative with how the photos were all going to come together as one. They have great flow and cohesiveness.

  3. Your pictures are very comical and unbalance, but that is the main point of your photo, it seems very unbalanced, but it harmonized well.

  4. I really like the angles and positioning you played with in this series. I love the first one, the bright blue in between the black and white images really makes it unique. The one with people is also really interesting because of the way you flipped them around and made it unique.

  5. You did a very nice job with this series. All of the images flow from frame to frame nicely. I especially like the first image (the one with my shoe). Not *only* because it has me in it, but because it takes 3 completely unrelated things and makes them fit together. Nice job :)

  6. I really like your second to last photo. It's really fun/funny and very creative. I like how the lines are very different and the darkness of the shadows in contrast to the brightness of the face/eyes. Really cool photo!
    Great work!
